HOUSE OF WORSHIP
We believe:
-
In the one true eternal God. God the Father, Jesus Christ, His only Begotten Son, and the Holy Spirit, these being three yet one in nature.
-
In Jesus Christ, through whom and in whom all things are created and held together. Though being the Eternal God, He emptied Himself came in the flesh, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived, died on the cross for the redemption of mankind, resurrected on the third day, and is today seated at the right hand of God the Father, far above all power, dominion, and authority in heaven and on earth.
-
That Satan and the fallen angels are in enmity with God.
-
That all man has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and as a result have been separated from God.
-
In Christ’s atoning sacrifice by the shedding of His blood, through His death on the cross.
-
In salvation for mankind and forgiveness of their sins through faith in Christ’s redemptive work and in receiving of His saving grace by accepting Him as Lord and Saviour over their lives.
-
In the Holy Spirit who is in the very person God, proceeded from the Father to dwell, fill and commune with every believer.
-
In the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, and that the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit are for every believer, enabling them to live in the fullness of life and to be His witnesses to all mankind.
-
That the Bible consists of its 66 books as God’s divinely inspired and only authoritative word to man upon which we put our faith and practice.
-
In the loving God’s purpose of creating man in His own image and in His likeness to be His children and to reign with Him eternally.
-
In man’s responsibility to relate, fellowship with, love, obey, and be committed to God, by which he can live an abundant life and minister to his fellow being and unto God.
-
In the baptism in water for every believer to symbolize the death and burial of the old nature and the resurrection unto the newness of life.
-
That the Church is a living body, the Body of Christ, a habitation of God through the Spirit, of which Christ is the Head, with spiritual endowments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Every believer is an integral part of the Body of Christ.
-
In the Lord’s Supper, which is the ordinance of the Body of Christ. The bread and the wine symbolize the broken body and blood of Jesus Christ, the partaking of which is done in remembrance of Christ.
-
In God’s mandate to every believer to be His ambassadors. He has commissioned every believer to teach, preach, and to make disciples, to equip the Church for good works, to love and serve men and be a light in the dark.
-
In the glorious second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, when He will take His bride, the Church, both the living and the dead, to reign with Him through all eternity.
-
In the eternal judgment for all mankind, in the new heaven and new earth for the redeemed in Christ, and in the lake of fire reserved for Satan and his host of angels, and all those judged by God to eternal punishment.
